Biography

Boitumelo Lofafa, aka Meloh D Born in South Africa on July 11, 1988, and raised primarily in Lesotho is a talented dancer, poet, and rapper who aspires to branch out into modeling, fashion design, graphic design, and music production, including deejaying. Meloh began dancing at a very young age but honed her skills in her late teens. She also started writing poetry in high school (2002-2006) and began experimenting with rhyme writing after university (2011-2012), mainly driven by the challenges of unemployment.
 
Her career began as the first female member of RaggaVybz Sound System (2013-2017), before she joined StaxXx Entertainment (2018-2019). From 2020 to 2023, she has been pursuing a solo career under the mentorship of Swati legend rapper Thatkingdombwoi B’ (formerly known as Crax). This partnership is part of a joint business venture called Thatkingdombwoi Operation.
Looking ahead, she aims to expand into the deejaying field to enhance her musical diversity. In 2024, Meloh fully embraced her identity as a solo rapper, navigating the hip-hop scene from grassroots levels with aspirations to host and perform at award-winning events.
She draws inspiration from artists like Lady of Rage, Jean Grae, Queen Ifrica, Rapsody, Erykah Badu, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Little Brother, Zulu Mecca, Rouge, Hymphatic Thabz, Proverb, and others. Meloh D’s rap style is deeply influenced by her love for writing expressive poetry. Her rhythms are dictated by emotion, featuring a writing style that incorporates boom bap elements. She strives to recreate a blend of influences from 2Pac and B.I.G., infused with reggae and dancehall vibes in her verses.
