Tsimo’s musical odyssey began in South Africa, where she honed her craft as a writer and backing vocalist for local acts. Her stage presence was nurtured through theater performances, including a notable production of Hairspray that toured the country and showcased at the Grahamstown Arts Festival in 2018.
After years of refining her sound, Ts’imo embarked on a solo recording journey in 2017. Her dedication paid off with the release of her debut single “Ngiyahamba” in April 2021, produced by Batundi. This marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration spree with international producers and artists, including Dj Tomer and Gidon Ricardo, Wilson Timba, and Kommanda Obbs.
Tsimo’s music transcends borders, featuring collaborations with artists from the US, Italy, Netherlands, Mozambique, Ghana, and Nigeria. Her single “Nakupenda” with Tomer and Gidon Ricardo garnered significant radio play in the US, Italy, Netherlands, and the UK. Her latest release, “uMoya,” featuring Kommanda Obbs, showcases her continued growth and artistic versatility.
