Meet Revelation, a multifaceted rap artist born Thabelo Lehlohonolo Mokobori, whose journey through the mic has been a symphony of passion and dedication. Raised in the vibrant cultural landscapes of Lesotho and South Africa, Revelation’s affinity for hip-hop was ignited by the raw energy of underground cyphers and the timeless projects of legendary artists like DMX, Jadakiss, Wu-Tang, Chief Kamachi, and KRS-One. With a natural flair for freestyle rap, Revelation honed his craft, treating it like a sport that demands precision, creativity, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
With over a decade of experience in the rap game since 2012, Revelation has solidified his reputation as a dynamic and versatile artist. His repertoire includes battle rap, freestyle, recording, and live performances that showcase his mastery of rap dynamics. The 2019 release of “Dear White Man” featuring L-Tore, Queen Mo, and Muthi Mols, catapulted him to the main stage, with the single charting at No. 1 on MusicBox within a day of its release. This milestone marked a turning point in his career, with Queen Mo mentoring him and PMAE introducing him to the Lesotho hip-hop scene.
Revelation’s accolades include the Lesotho Music Award for Best International Feature in 2022 for “For The Love,” a track featuring American rapper Queenie La’Rouge from Chicago. This song was part of his critically acclaimed 12-track EP “It Is I,” which boasted an all-female lineup. His subsequent feature on the Hotspot Cypher in 2023 and performances at iconic venues like Cleketseng and Ha Ke’a Makoa have cemented his status as a force to be reckoned with in the rap world.
