Released in 2024, Mechine is the 1st official single offering taken from the upcoming D2AMAJOE’s Ts’epe Tape Volume.4. Composed by Philip “Dr Phil” Luru, Mechine features a militant chorus by Omali Themba and hard-hitting verses by Novere and Sneiman. This Ts’epe anthem is accompanied by a cinematic music video shot and directed in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho by Letsohla Moteki.
About the artist
Formed in 2010 by Kommanda Obbs, having realized the growth of the movement behind the whole TS’EPE sub-genre, philosophy, and vision, the group D2AMAJOE (Di-thu-a-ma-jwe) was initiated as part of the Ts’epe Sethuamajoe Art Movement. It is, to a large extent, influenced by the holistic Pan-African ideology. D2AMAJOE, which figuratively translates as “Boundary Breakers”, was initiated as a voice of the Southern African perspective on the African situation.
